File Preparation

Keys to Success

 

Disk Ready Guidelines
Before submitting your files for printing, check the following items:

Page layout files have been created in either Quark Xpress (6.0 or older) , PageMaker (6.5 or older), or InDesign (2.0 or older). For any other software, please call and check to see if we can work with it.

Your document has been proofread for typographical and grammatical errors.

All fonts supplied (screen and printer).

All graphic files supplied, and in the proper file format: TIFF or EPS. Others may be acceptable, please call first.

Bleeding elements extend at least 1/8" off page

Panel sizes have been adjusted for folds. See Folding Guide.

Supplied images, graphics and scan have been prepared at the proper resolution and image quality (for more information see Graphics and Text)

Images have been saved in the color mode appropriate to the job (spot, CMYK, or grayscale; not RGB, LAB, or Index)

The document size in the file is the same size as the final printed piece.

Laser proofs sumitted with the file are the most current version of the file.
